It is the start of the Christmas season. But, unlike Black Friday it has nothing to do with shopping. The Advent season is a time of preparation as we focus on the first coming of Christ. This time of year there are thousands of opportunities to be distracted from the real purpose of the season. We wanted to take some time each week and focus on the one thing this season is really about, the birth of Jesus Christ.
We light the first candle of Expectation or Hope.
Not the Hope that “wishes something will happen” but a Hope that knows it will happen.
