At the core of Hope and Help are the pastors. The whole reason we exist is to train, equip, encourage and help them in every aspect of their ministry, so that they can impact South Asia for the Kingdom.
Equipping pastors means more than just training them, it also means we help provide the resources they need to minister effectively.
Below are many of the resources we normally provide which help the pastors in their personal life and help those they minister to in their churches and villages. Often these resources help open doors to share the gospel with the unreached in their villages.
Everyone from children to business owners can be a part of giving hope and help to those in South Asia. Check out the resources below and ask God how you can help.
One of our ministry partners recently shared that his church of over 200, meets wherever they can (often outdoors in fields) and it would be convenient to have a building to worship in. As our partners focus on sharing the gospel in unreached villages and people are coming to Christ, we can help by building a place to worship and a small house for the pastor. This is a great project for churches, family businesses etc. to be a part of. Church – $15,000
Many Americans are stunned to hear that more than half of the world’s population doesn’t have access to the Scriptures! There is nothing as rewarding as presenting someone with a Bible of their very own in their heart language! Bible – $6
As God opens doors and we take more teams on short-term trips, we are realizing the value of owning our own vehicles rather than renting one. Used vans are ideal for transporting teams and supplies.
A young pastor was in tears after receiving a bicycle. He said, “Now I can do more ministry!” Bicycles are simple tools that make a pastor’s life easier because they can cover more territory on a bike than on foot. Bicycle – $125
Motorcycles make it possible for pastors and church planters to be able to take the gospel further than they ever imagined in order to reach those villages who have not yet been reached with the gospel. Motorcycle – $1,800
For families who struggle daily just to buy food, a livelihood gift can literally be the difference between life and death. One of the livelihood gifts listed here will soon turn into a source of income for the family that will help meet their most basic needs of food, medical care and clothing.
Backpacks & School Supplies
Students who are attending our bridging schools also need school supplies and backpacks to carry them in. This is a great opportunity to talk to your children about helping the poor. Why not make it a family project and start a School Supplies fund from their allowance or money they earn doing chores. This would also be a great way for children in your church to do the same, please consider sharing this opportunity with your Children’s Pastor/Director.
