Dear Co-laborers in His Vineyard,
June 6th marked 52 years that Nancy and I began this journey together. We are very thankful for the Lord’s faithfulness in providing direction, strength, provision for us and the ministries He has allowed us to be involved in. “Great is Thy Faithfulness”
In April and May of this year I was privileged to visit two countries in the Middle East and while this was first time in one of the countries, I had visited the other for three days back in the mid 80’s.
This trip was primarily an exploratory trip to meet with pastors and Christian leaders and determine if the training that Hope and Help does would be of benefit in their region. The response we received was very positive they requested that we make plans to begin ministry in both countries in 2017. We ask you, our partners in ministry, to Praise the Lord for these new openings and begin to pray that God would give us wisdom and discernment as to how to proceed. We would also ask that you pray for His provision for these two ministries. We still believe that “Where God Guides He Provides!”
I would also like to share with you another exciting thing that has happened at HHI in this past month of May. While Trevor and Lori were visiting churches in PA and David and BJ were visiting donors and churches in Texas the owner of the building where HHI has had a small office (about 430 Sq. feet) since the ministry was founded in March of 2005 informed me that he had leased the rest of the building and that we needed to move everything out within the next 10 days. Needless to say I was in shock. For two or three years from time to time I have looked for a bigger place for us but without success. Most everyplace we looked at they were asking was from 12 to 14 dollars per square foot and we didn’t feel right paying that much for office space. For 11 1/2 years we have strived to keep the overhead and administration down so that we would have more funds for ministry. HHI has committed to use 100% of their funds for that purpose unless designated otherwise. We do not withhold anything for administration. In the nearly 12 years of our existence, last year’s percentage for administration and fund raising was the highest it has ever been at 7.15%. Praise the Lord!
God has provided large facilities with space for everyone to have an office. Although it shouldn’t amaze me, yet God does continually amaze me with His timing and provision.
Nancy and I would like to meet each of the donors and churches that pray for and support Hope and Help International. It is our desire and plan to begin visiting each church and donor by city and state. We would love to share with you, your pastor, your church, Sunday school, Bible Fellowship group. If you would like for us to visit you for your Mission Conference or a special service please let me know.
While our duties with Hope and Help International are changing; I will still be teaching overseas and developing contacts for new ministry opportunities. Nancy and I are excited to see how the Lord will use us in this next phase of our service for Him.
